Our certification is self-paced, so you set the timeline. Whether you want to complete the course in a weekend or spread it out over several weeks, the choice is yours! Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll submit your written work and sample classes. A senior Yo Re Mi trainer will review your submissions and process your certification promptly, so you can start teaching and inspiring kids right away.

As a licensed Yo Re Mi educator, you have permission to use Yo Re Mi’s name, songs, lesson plans, and branded materials to teach anywhere in the United States!

No, you don’t need any previous yoga training to take our certification and join YES.
The Yo Re Mi Certification and Yo Re Mi Educator Space (YES) are designed to be accessible to everyone, whether you’re completely new to yoga or already have experience.

Yes! Yo Re Mi is recognized as a Yoga Alliance (YA) Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYS). Completing our certification qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (CE) credits.
If you’re already a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified RYT, you can work toward becoming a registered 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT).
To qualify for RCYT status, you’ll need to complete:

With decades of combined experience in yoga, music, and education, Rachel and Dan Costello bring passion, expertise, and creativity to every aspect of the Yo Re Mi Educator Program.
Rachel Costello
Rachel Costello is a certified Yoga Therapist and a Yoga Alliance registered teacher (C-IAYT, ERYT500, RCYT, RPYT, YACEP) specializing in hatha, vinyasa, prenatal, postpartum, and yoga for children with special needs.
Rachel provides professional development for adults who want to share yoga with children, pre-teens, teens, and youth with special needs. She has been teaching both adults and children since 2005 and believes yoga is a perfect way to harness innate energy to increase self-awareness, confidence, health, positivity, and balance—all while having FUN!
Dan Costello
Dan Costello is a professional musician, storyteller, actor, music educator, and certified Children's Yoga Instructor (KAY), specializing in early and elementary education.
With over ten years of experience as a music teacher, Dan is deeply rooted in play-based and emergent learning methods. He develops music education curricula that combine movement-based activities, joyful sing-alongs, and songwriting.
Dan plays piano, guitar, clarinet, drums, ukulele—just about anything he can find—and has written hundreds of songs. His proudest recent achievement? Being a dad who gets dinner on the table before bedtime.
